Course Memo

This course gives a foundation on written and oral communication to different audiences. Course focuses on writing, reading comprehension, and speaking across academic genres. Students are introduced to information and library research and the academic expectations for college level communication. Students learn how to recognize the need for information, develop a search strategy, find and evaluate resources, synthesize and integrate the information they find, and use outside resources ethically by citing sources. 3 units.
